Part of the fun of receiving holiday cards is decorating with them, but it can go well beyond displaying them on the mantel. Gilding The Lily

The bannister is an excellent canvas for crafted holiday decor. Those who have one near the front door can welcome guests with tinsel or evergreen garland weaving in and out of each post. To give the bannister a sentimental touch, attach your holiday cards to the garland. Punch a hole in the corner of a card and string it with ribbon to tie to the branch or tinsel. If garland is a bit too much for your style, you can always tie the ribbon directly to the post.

A Touch Of The Holidays
